Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe comes from a multi-cultural household. She was born in South London. Her father is Nigerian as well as Swiss and her mom is English. She was raised in a council estate located south of London. When she was 14, she attended The Brit School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. At the academy and performing in numerous stage productions including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career by starring in a movie titled Storm Damage. Since then, she's appeared as a guest in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. The following year, she played Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she was a part of Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. She played Bambi on the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a part of the comedy feature film How to Lose Friends & Alienate People. She has performed in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written composed by David Watson.
Madekwe was cast as Ashley Davenport on ABC's Drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode show aired only for the duration of two weeks The CW and then it was cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe was a regular in the drama series on ABC Revenge for two seasons. It was revealed in May 2013 that she was set to quit the show after completing an appearance in the very first episode of season three. Between 2014 and 2016, Madekwe was a star in the role of Tituba the television series Salem. Madekwe and her partner who has been with her for a long time, Iddo Goldenberg, were married in June 2012. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked together on Salem and also he played a part alongside her in that TV show.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. Four of her older brothers were also present including twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley was raised in the arenas and baseball fields because her four athletic brothers all were hockey players, baseball players, and both in the winter and summer. Ashley was not a walker, but she would dance. At age two and a half, she was introduced to Baby Ballet. Ashley was captivated by dance at this age. After graduating from High School, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of ballet, tap, jazz and pointe as well as acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip-hop. In addition, she won best soloist awards at all major dance contests, like the International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, among others.
