Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in the city of Decatur, Illinois. Alison Krauss and LeAnn Kymes were two of the youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss is an American singer-songwriter and bluegrass country musician. Born on July 23, 1971. She started working in the music business from a young age. at the age of 10 she was a winner in local contests and recorded her debut album. The year 1987 was when she dropped her first solo album, after joining Rounder Records. She was then invited to join Alison Krauss Union Station, her current band that she sings with. Her debut album together as a band came out in the year 1989.
